Different types of arthropods found in Hot Springs are ostracods, scorpions, and insects such as honeybees.
Crustacea: Ostracods: known as seed shrimp, stay in freshwater around underwater shrubs and debris in shallow parts of the water, feed on algae. They are found in water, not the springs, in the national park.
Arachnida: black-striped scorpions, (Centruroides vittatus), use pincers to grasp their prey, and stinger filled with poison. These creatures are found everywhere in the park.
Insecta: Honeybee (Apis mellifera), Arkansas state insect. These bees are found all over the state of Arkansas, but especially where there is a lot of flowers and trees
